Production

The best design quality is effective only if it can rely on the corresponding production quality. mefro makes great investments in this area every year.
Over the years, we have for example prepared the conditions in our metal press shops that enable us to produce demanding forming parts or complex component units in the transfer or subsequent composite technique.

Especially for medium or large series we have matching automatic punch presses and deep drawing presses with a pressure capacity of 250 to 10.000 kN. Table dimensions of max. 4,000 x 2,000 mm with coil feed systems for sheet metal up to 1,600 mm width and 6 mm thickness, some equipped with transfer equipment and circuit board fitter. Where it is useful or necessary, semi-automatic or manual presses are used.

In the component unit production we use robot inert gas welding equipment as well as robot point welding equipment. Specifically designed wheel assembly plants are used for our wheel production.

For surface treatment, our products are first degreased and coated with iron phosphate in a preparation station, this is then followed by a powder coating process. This method offers excellent corrosion protection and complies with the present surface requirements.

In all production processes, the careful treatment of environment and resources is our first concern. For us, it is not merely an obligation imposed by legislation, but our own initiative arising from conviction. Imbedded in the Bavarian Alpine foothills, we are proud of unspoiled nature in the surroundings of our location. It was already in the seventies that we incorporated environmental protection in our planning as our premium corporate goal. Today, environmental protection is an integral part of our homogenous quality philosophy and acknowledged by the international certifying body Lloyds.
